Overview
Tindari, one of the most beautiful and sacred places in Sicily, is wrapped up in legends. One of these explains the spectacular natural phenomenon of a tongue of sand stretching out for kilometres into the sea. A sandbank, legend tells us, created to save a baby slipped from his mother's grasp and which still lies there, under a high cliff. A few miles north, between blue skies and crystalline waters, the Aeolian Islands rise from sea. The “seven sisters”, as they are sometimes called, are volcanic islands named after the god of the winds Aelous. Stromboli and Vulcano are still active and offer spectacular nocturnal explosions and views of lava flows. Now Imagine a villa occupying a thrilling vantage point, 500m above sea level, with views encompassing the landscapes for miles around – from Tindari on one side, to the Laghetti di Marinello, the spectacular Tyrrhenian sea and as far as Eolian Islands on the other side. We searched for a long time and finally found a very special place, so beautiful you'll have a hard time leaving. It's called Casalnuovo.
