Property details

As we approach Ai Mulini front gate, we are literary mesmerized by the rich landscape all around: colourful plants and scented flowers, generous fruit trees, well tended lawn and garden, picturesque rolling foothills. Red Virginia creeper climbing on the rural white façade merges with the farmhouse stony arbour. Alongside downstairs entrance is a sheltered patio with barbecue and a spacious table with chairs for relaxing alfresco meals. The terrace overlooks a lawn stone path leading to a stunning pool area with comfortable deckchairs for full privacy sunbathing. The water sound of a close stream flowing past the farmhouse gradually mitigates our tiredness as we take in the heavenly nature all around.
The ground floor entrance welcomes you into a bright sitting area with comfortable sofas and TV set. Beside, a radiant dining room with a spacious table invites you to stop and stare at the numerous black and white pictures on the wall telling fascinating stories about Sicilian rural family life. A lively twin bedroom with ample wardrobe is located close to the dining area.
A well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable bathroom with shower fully furnish the wide downstairs area. An internal staircase leads upstairs directly to a colourful living area adorned with yellow-tainted sofa beds. Out-of-the-ordinary views glimpsing from the windows upstairs deeply impress us while – crossing the corridor – we enter a double bedroom where blue curtains, armchair and bedspread gently touch bright white walls. Opposite, another ample twin bedroom with vivacious green tinted furnishing offers a great view from an ample window while two bathrooms across with tub overlook the pool area. Both twin bedrooms are convertible into double and a convenient pantry room with washing machine close to the outside patio is ideal to store all outside chairs and tables. Sky digital channels are available on each property TV set.

Reviews from clients staying at Ai Mulini

  • Andrew Burgess - United Kingdom | August 2012

Thank you for a very interesting stay in the Madonie mountains. We have explored the area and particularly enjoyed Cefalù, Petralia Sottana and Soprana and the Castle at Caccamo. The pool was great – the children spent hours in it. We arranged for Grazia to cook for us on two occasions, which we recommend (enough food to last several meals). We also ate at Luigi (the restaurant at walking distance from the villa) which was excellent.

We had a couple of lovely swims in the coast – the sea was wonderful although parking was a bit manic. Once you get there it is worth it and a welcome chance to cool down in the crazy heat.

  • Sara Harris - United Kingdom | August 2012

We have spent a glorious two weeks here - stunning views, perfect weather, great house, so peaceful and relaxing even with three teenagers! Thank you so much.

  • Simon Vella - Malta | July 2012

It was a great stay at Villa ai Mulini. The Villa is truly comfortable and equipped with all amenities. We enjoyed having our breakfast in the garden and afternoons by the pool as well as a BBQ with really fresh meat from the local friendly butcher Albanese.
Throughout our holiday we ventured out to a number of places including Agrigento, Caltagirone, Cefalù, Etna and the Petralie. At the Petralie we enjoyed a fun-filled day for all the family at the Parco Avventura and our six year old son and his sixty-six year old grandad had a blast!
At night the Villa is guarded by a four legged resident with round curious, longing eyes and a very sweet pointed nose and two alert ears. He had what seemed to us a cheeky smile. This is a really cute fox we named Sly (We later discovered it was a littler of four young foxes). He always welcomed us back into the farmhouse when we arrived from one of our ventures. We also enjoyed the company of Roxy, the horse who came over in the field next to the pool.

We will surely recommend the Villa ai Mulini.

  • The Pisani Family - Malta | July 2012

Ai Mulini is the ideal place where one may have a relaxing and quite holiday, away from it all.
You wake up to the singing of birds, have breakfast surrounded by the mountains which seem to be hugging and protecting the villa.
The villa itself is well equipped, comfortable, clean and very pleasant. We recommend to all.

    Thanks for your hospitality.

  • Christine Blackford - United Kingdom | June 2012

Loved every minute. Assisted by wonderful weather. Running/ walking every morning on the tracks/mountains has been great fund getting lost.
Loved Polizzi and all its streets and atmosphere. Hill top towns like Caltavuturo with its amphitheater was worth a visit. walking around the ski resort of Piano Battaglia was a must. Views are amazing. We like the lake district but this is unbelievable.
Loved our mornings around the pool. Relaxing and hiking in the view of Polizzi and the surrounding mountains.

Had a great time. Hope to come back soon.

  • Barbara O'Hanrahan - Ireland | August 2011

Thanks for letting us stay, lovely villa, well equipped. It was lovely and cool in average. Polizzi is a nice town to walk around but don't bring your car into it.The national park is nice if you like walking.

  • Vickie Ferres - United Kingdom | June 2011

This area is very beautiful. The views are really excellent. The villa is lovely and well equipped.
