This lovely countryside villa sits amidst an intoxicating landscape where sprawling olive and citrus groves, extensive vineyards and a fiery Mt. Etna make for quite a setting. Strolling down, via manicured lawns, walking paths and ponds to the panoramic pool, the scenario gets mesmerizing. Stop by and sit on one of the ancient stone benches along romantic rose bushes and pine trees. Plenty of indoor and outdoor living spaces, all with high quality furnishings, make for a superb holiday villa.
Property details
Le Dimore dell'Etna is an extensive property consisting of a three-bedroom main house and five independent chalet-style cottages set in a vast area of manicured and cultivated gardens, paths and ponds.
The main house is on two floors. Downstairs, is an wide living area, a comfy study and a fully-equipped kitchen. The sleeping quarter is upstairs and consists of 3 bedrooms (a double and a twin sharing a bathroom with shower) and a master bedroom with ensuite.
Outside are two comfortable covered terraces, perfect for outdoor meals. Adjacent the main house, are a large heated, salt water pool and a restored farm house with a large sitting room and a country-style kitchen with wood-burning oven. On the basement, is a wine-cellar containing the wine produced by the owner, as part of the land where the property stands (5,000 square meters in total) is used for the cultivation of grapes. The pool area is also equipped with a 4 seat Finnish sauna and outside shower.
Behind the pool area are five cosy independent timber-clad cottages, one close to each other. Each one of them is on one floor and consists of one double bedroom and one bathroom with hydro-jet shower. A 6th independent cottage, the gym facility - with a range of quality exercise equipment - children playground, are all set between the main house and the cottages. All buildings boast stunning views over the extensive lush garden with Mt. Etna in background.
The part of the land behind the property is used to grow fruit and vegetable while, further afield, a small chicken coop provides plenty of delicious fresh eggs every day.
Area details
Le Dimore dell'Etna is located in Trecastagni, a charming mountain village perched on the south-eastern flanks of Mt.Etna. The town boasts a spectacular look as it is entirely built in black lava-stone and holds precious monuments and ancient churches. Architecture and history enthusiasts will not want to miss Baroque treasures in Catania. Those of you with a more adventurous soul will love the ravines of the Alcantara river and exciting treks up Mt. Etna. The property is an excellent base to visit Taormina and Syracuse. Acireale, with its impressive baroque architecture, is within easy reach from Trecastagni and well worth a visit as well.

Fruit and vegetable garden provides organic produce guests can freely eat, along with plenty of fresh eggs from the chicken coop.
The swimming pool is open to guests all year round.
