Reviews from clients staying at Apolline

  • Laszlo Kellner - United Kingdom | December 2012

Franceso and his wife are lovely hosts who helped us with every detail. The house and its garden is just lovely, ideally for outdoor life even in the winter. The house is well equipped with all the necessary facilities you can wish for. We had a great time and will certainly recommend the villa to our friends who are considering visiting Sicily.

  • Stanislav Ovrutski - Germany | October 2012

  • Doris and Thomas Leitner - Germany | September 2012

  • Vincente Casciaro - Spain | August 2012

Apolline exceeded our expectations from the beginning.
The whole structure is designed with sophistication and attention to the guest needs and fundamentally, integrated with its natural environment.
It has multiple options of beach: a private beach of rocks a few meters and another public with fine sand at 100 meters of the property. We've discovered with our children the natural wealth of the place: from octopuses, sea urchins up to a small live hippocampus.
For our surprise, we found a small pool in the middle of the park, overlooking the sea, which became an alternative to the beach.
We discovered the Sicilian cuisine options, always led by Franco and Mariella (owners), really true lovers of Sicily. They've been always available with warmth and professionalism assisting us with their guidance in everything we've needed during our stay (shopping, restaurants, food, etc.). We won't forget the red shrimps and pasta with fish cooked by themselves.
The structure is equipped with TVs, Sky TV and access to high quality internet. We have had no difficulty in being online both to work and for personal issues.
In summary, we recommend Apolline. We hope to repeat the experience soon.

  • Anna Meseguer - Spain | August 2012

The vacation in Villa Apolline were just wonderful. Francesco and his family were waiting for us in the house with a nice supper and wine, in a charming and comfortable atmosphere. The house was perfectly equipped and the garden espectacular. Everything was perfect and made our stay in Sicily unforgettable.

  • Lucilla Croce - Germany | July 2012

The house is very nice, well equipped, everything perfectly functioning. The garden huge, well kept, beautiful. Although there is access to the sea on a rocky coast just in front of the house, we found the small sandy beach just 100m away very convenient: it is often deserted, and also on the weekend just a few people appear. It is quiet, with very nice sand and clear water, and the coast around it provides a nice scenery. The location of the house is perfect if you want a quiet and relaxing holiday. In fact perhaps the only disadvantage is that the closest supermarket is 13 km away, and even small shops are a rarity in the area (we found a baker 4 km away). The area is fantastic, with green, agricultural landscape and long, empty sandy beaches. From the house you can see the southern tip of Sicily, Isola delle Correnti, and in 30 min drive you can reach it. The owners are extremely hospital, and really dedicated to make you comfortable and satisfied in the house. They are always available for any question or need, and they gave us indications on how to get fresh fish, where to find good restaurants. One evening, after taking us to a fishermen area where we bought fantastic shrimps, Mr.Leone cooked them for us on the house' s barbecue! Although we were there in the hot season, the fresh wind kept the temperatures always in a perfect and pleasant range (just above 30deg). In the late afternoon you can enjoy short trips (within 30-40 km) to the fantastic sicilian barock cities of Modica, Noto, Ragusa-Ibla. Dinner in nice restaurants there or on the sea cities of Pozzallo or Marina di Modica is certainly recommendable. All in all a very good choice, a great vacation and certainly a strong recommendation for anyone wanting to enjoy the best and quietest part of Sicily.

  • Lisa and Philippe de Mondesir - United States | June 2012

Apolline's owners spared no expense in creating their Southeastern Sicily upscale villa with a vast shaded patio, a raised sundeck with a dipping pool and both an indoor and several outdoor kitchens. Set in the middle of a large park like floral and cacti garden by the sea, one is hard pressed to leave this enclosed tranquil haven save to wander down the pathway to stroll along the beach and swim in the clear blue Mediterranean Sea. Spoiled by the unexpected gifts of local fruits and vegetables from the extraordinarily gracious owners, and if you are as lucky as we were, by a home cooked meal of local fare, you will revel in the good fortune that befell you. We arrived worn and weary strangers to this region and left very well rested and feeling like members of the owners' family. A rare and cherished experience we hope to repeat many times in future.

  • Elfi Eberle - Germany | March 2012

It was love at first sight! The place is truly incredible. With not one but two kitchens outside, one inside and a BBQ area we never wanted to actually leave the house. Of course the fresh veggies and fruits delivered almost daily for free by Franco, the patron of the house didn't help! The property has everything and much more, starting from the interior,
the owners did not save time nor money to transform "Apolline" into a luxury yet true Sicilian home!
A small beach is only a few steps away and made the experience one to remember. There is literally no artificial sounds, you fall asleep with the sound of the sea and you wake up kissed by the sun. We also had the pleasure to taste some of the local cuisine, Franco knows the owner of some outstanding red wine and the best olive oil I have ever come across, make sure you ask for a bottle of "Le Case di Lavinia". After we stayed for a few days Angela who, to our surprise spoke
perfect German, cleaned the entire property, again free of charge and gave us the best recipies of the local food. I can only say the entire trip was worth every penny and we are difinetely will be back! Me and my family can highly recommend "Apolline" and its wonderful owners!

  • Ettore Brambilla - Italy | March 2012

spiaggia garantisce contemporaneamente tranquillita' e riservatezza.

  • Gjertrud & Martin - United Kingdom | September 2011

We had such a great time staying at your villa and hope we'll be able to come back to your lovely house in the next future.

  • Andy Berner - United Kingdom | August 2011

Villa nicer than the pictures. We were pleasantly surprised. Standard over all was very high. Sleeping was very comfortable with nice beds, air conditioning and ceiling fans. Much higher than typical standard experienced in previous trips to Italy. Setup of Villa was very well thought out. Everything for the beach, setup of kitchen, etc. Once again, high standard. Beach was also better than expectations. Not crowded, and perfect for young kids. Excellent size for 4 adults and 2 children. Garden was beautiful and kids enjoyed it a lot.
